adventure diversity "group with the Intercultural Youth Club Cumpania"
On 4 December 2009 made the "adventure diversity" group a trip to the island Theater in Karlsruhe at the play "A migrant wedding" to see. The cross-cultural drama teacher of the Baden State Theatre Karlsruhe Rusen Kartaloglu enabled the group to look behind the scenery and the opportunity to play with his theater group, and to engage in conversation.
Kamila Zareba, exchange student from Poland and a participant in the theater project "Adventure Variety reports "about the day:
We drive to Karlsruhe
Finally the day has come, the 4th of December, which we have waited so long Unfortunately he is now over, but at least!. We have great memories.
is on Friday at 14.45 clock in addition to the Adult Education in Schwäbisch Hall had a white bus sat in which Mr. Rainer. After he has welcomed us with a big smile on your face, we are in the Bus seated and our adventure began.
At 17:00 clock we're lost already in the city of Karlsruhe. First, by car, then another on foot. We could see a bit of the city. Fortunately, we have finally found the theater - the theater "island".
From the very beginning we had the opportunity to play with the other theater-goers and to integrate ourselves. Were prepared for us several games that we could participate voluntarily. These were concentration and creativity games. With these we have had to do already in theater classes. Both players and spectators have had lots of fun and joy here.
After we had laughed a bit, we went to visit the theater. Our guide was director of the piece Mr. Kartaloglu. First, we have seen how the actors are styled. This object was a woman. They had to prepare about fifteen actors - especially make-up and the panel. Despite all the work she has handled it very well. Then we saw the rehearsal room, to be held where all samples. However, the director a bit messy - as he himself has noted - and the tasting will be held at various locations. The favorite place to play is theater for Mr. Kartaloglu a cafeteria. There are a few small platforms that you can use interesting. Great impression made by the equipment room for us. We do not understand can, in what way does it all and how to rule over all this. The biggest role, however, met the computer with special programs. Then we had free time. We visited a shop and long enjoyed the food.
At about 18.00 clock we entered the theater and taken the good seats. Shortly after that, the play "A migrant Wedding" started.
Here is an excerpt from the press release:
"A lavish wedding in Istanbul, Turkey, with hundreds of guests and varied program devours loose an annual salary of average workers so marry. German-Turk Murat and the young Saadet from Istanbul. While he dreams of consolidating with a Turkish woman's cultural roots, they will cut off the roots of the marriage. Got to know both the Internet and have only met once before her marriage. It is therefore the one hand, traditionally mediated marriage, on the other hand extended by the modern communication media. Saadet now hopes to come to Germany to miniskirts, while Murat would miss her a head scarf to finally like a 'real Turk' to live. "
The actors have a lot of fun. Some of us (eg Roma) have long after the play can not stop laughing. The crowd favorite (especially the youth) was the figure of Tranvestite Idal (in this role, Dominic Weber). Why? The only young people probably know. Presumably it was the very funny creation and behavior. This actor also got the biggest applause.
The actors talked unfortunately a bit too fast and too diffuse. Sometimes this has led to problems in understanding. Nevertheless, the piece was completed with great success.
Where did the idea for the piece? "A migrant Wedding" was written by the Turkish Playwright Müserref Öztürk-Cetindogan drafted and opened in 2007 the market pieces of the Berlin Theatre Meeting. When the director had read the piece, he thought: The idea is not bad. However, his translation is not so much. Then he decided to write the text itself. After a few changes in the piece was finished.
criticized in this piece, the author above all the religion. Kartaloglu Mr. contrast is particularly critical of the wrong people and wrong things such as the priest who thinks he is holy. He is not so. This piece also shows - very important - that all men are born free and decide for yourself who and what they are.
At about 22.30 clock we left with many impressions of the theater. A bit tired but happy we have come home. In summary, this day was really nice! And thanks to all our supervisors: Rainer, Tina, Patricia and the welcome given by Rusen Kartaloglu and his theater group.
Thank you!
